Ten scores of 181 or more. All from a single season. All in 2025.
Before the Vitality Blast Women launched, nobody quite knew how high totals would go at the county level.
By the time the 2025 season wrapped up, three teams had crossed 200, one batter had hit a century, and Hampshire Women had posted a total that now stands as the highest team score in Women’s T20 Blast history.

Two things stand out straight away.
First, every score above 190 ended in a win except Essex Women’s 190/7, which came in reply to Hampshire’s record 215.
Second, Hampshire appears in four of the ten entries, including both the highest total ever posted and one of the lowest totals on this list.
They were the most explosive batting side of 2025 in both directions.
Full breakdowns follow for every match.
1. HAM Women – 215/3

Nobody expected the Women’s T20 Blast record to fall on the opening day of the 2025 season. Hampshire made sure it did.
Maia Bouchier and Ella McCaughan batted together as if the Essex bowlers were not there.
Bouchier finished with 92 off 53 balls, McCaughan with 68 off 39. Georgia Adams kept the scoring moving late on as Hampshire cruised to 215/3 in their 20 overs.
Essex had the players to chase it. Lauren Winfield-Hill hit 69, and the reply reached 190/7, which would have won almost any other match that day.
Bex Tyson (3/40) was the key wicket-taker as Hampshire held on for a 25-run win.
For context, that 215 beat the previous Utilita Bowl ground record by 18 runs. On matchday one of the season.

If Hampshire’s 215 was a statement, Surrey’s 213 was a response.
Five days later, at The Oval, Surrey posted the second highest total in Women’s T20 Blast history against the same Hampshire side.
Australian all-rounder Grace Harris was the standout on her Surrey debut. She hit 63 off 35 balls batting first, then came back to take 3/18 with the ball.
Danni Wyatt-Hodge (62 off 41) and Paige Schofield (49 off 18) added serious firepower either side of Harris.
Hampshire replied through Ella McCaughan’s 81 off 50, but could not get close enough.
Surrey won by 32 runs. Harris dismissing McCaughan and Adams in three consecutive deliveries ended the contest.
Two teams. Two totals above 210. Five days apart. The 2025 title race had its shape.
3. Surrey Women – 204/5

| Opposition | Warwickshire Women |

Surrey’s second entry in this list came at the worst possible time for Warwickshire, nine days before the final.
Kira Chathli was outstanding, scoring 65 off 31 balls with five sixes.
Her 93-run stand with Grace Harris (37 off 25) was the heart of the innings.
Surrey reached 204/5 despite Priyanaz Chatterji (3/23) and Kalea Moore (3/38) bowling well for Warwickshire.
The Bears replied with 179/9 and lost by 25 runs. Heading into finals week, that was a damaging result in more ways than one.
4. HAM Women – 195/2

|---|---|
| Opposition | Essex Women |
| Venue | County Ground, Chelmsford |
| Date | 12 June 2025 |
| Result | HAM Women won by 42 runs |

The 2025 season produced one T20 Blast Women century. It belonged to Ella McCaughan, and it came here.
McCaughan scored 106 off 60 balls at Chelmsford, the only three-figure innings of the entire competition.
Charli Knott was unbeaten on 72 off 55 at the other end as Hampshire posted 195/2.
Essex faced a target that was always going to be beyond them on this pitch and on this day.
Georgia Adams took 4/26 as Essex fell to 153/8. Hampshire won by 42 runs.
McCaughan had scored 68 in the record-breaking opener, then 106 here.
By mid-June, she was the undisputed batter of the season.
5. WAR Women – 193/6

|---|---|
| Opposition | Durham Women |
| Venue | Edgbaston, Birmingham |
| Date | 31 May 2025 |
| Result | WAR Women won by 42 runs |
| Run Rate | 9.65 |
Warwickshire’s 193/6 was built on two very different batting performances from the same innings.
Davina Perrin batted through the middle overs with control and patience, finishing with 87 off 61 balls to give Warwickshire a foundation.
Then Laura Harris came in and dismantled Durham’s bowling attack with 55 off just 21 deliveries at the death.
Durham responded but never threatened. They were bowled out for 151 in 19 overs, 42 runs short.
Warwickshire had announced themselves as one of the title contenders inside the first two days of the season.
6. BLZ Women – 190/3
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Opposition | Durham Women |
| Venue | Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street |
| Date | 13 June 2025 |
| Result | BLZ Women won by 7 wickets |
| Run Rate | 10.00 |
| Overs | 19 |
The Blaze’s 190/3 is the only second-innings total in the top 10, which makes it different from every other entry on this list.
Durham had posted 188/5, led by Suzie Bates (77 off 58) and Bess Heath (45 off 27).
Sarah Glenn had taken 2/21 to restrict Durham’s total. Chasing 189 at Chester-le-Street with a full 20 overs available is a tough ask in any T20 competition.
Tammy Beaumont made it look simple. She hit 81 off 44 balls and won the match with an over to spare.
Kathryn Bryce (39 off 35) provided steady support. The Blaze reached 190/3 in 19 overs, winning by seven wickets.
Posting 190 in a chase is a different kind of performance.
It counts here because the runs were scored, and they were scored faster than almost anyone else managed all season.
7. Essex Women – 190/7
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Opposition | Hampshire Women |
| Venue | Utilita Bowl, Southampton |
| Date | 30 May 2025 |
| Result | Lost by 25 runs |
| Run Rate | 9.50 |
Essex’s 190/7 sits at rank seven on this list. It also came in the same match as rank one.
Chasing Hampshire’s competition record 215/3, Essex gave it a real go.
Lauren Winfield-Hill hit 69 off 42 balls, and Madeline Penna contributed 38 off 17 as Essex kept up with the rate into the final overs.
Bex Tyson took 3/40 at the right moments to slow the chase, and Essex finished 25 runs short.
They scored 190/7 and still lost by a margin that never felt as close as the numbers suggest.
It remains one of only two losing scores in the entire top 10.
8. BLZ Women – 188/6
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Opposition | Hampshire Women |
| Venue | Queen’s Park, Chesterfield |
| Date | 4 July 2025 |
| Result | BLZ Women won by 37 runs |
| Run Rate | 9.40 |
The Blaze’s 188/6 at Chesterfield was not the most spectacular score on this list. But what followed it was.
Heather Graham hit 73 off 47 balls, and Ella Claridge finished unbeaten on 51 off 36 as The Blaze posted 188.
Then Kathryn Bryce came on to bowl and took 4/13, ripping through Hampshire’s top order and middle order to leave them all out for 151.
A 37-run win that demonstrated exactly why The Blaze were difficult to beat in 2025.
Big totals backed up by bowling that could dismantle opponents in the second innings.
9. Durham Women – 188/5
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Opposition | The Blaze Women |
| Venue | Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street |
| Date | 13 June 2025 |
| Result | Lost by 7 wickets |
| Run Rate | 9.40 |
Durham’s 188/5 is the other match from 13 June at Chester-le-Street, viewed from the other side.
Suzie Bates scored 77 off 58 at the top of the order in a composed, match-building innings.
Bess Heath followed with 45 off 27. Durham reached 188/5 in 20 overs, a total their bowlers would have expected to defend in most games.
Sarah Glenn (2/21) and Kathryn Bryce (2/37) kept the lid on for The Blaze during Durham’s innings. Neither could do the same when Beaumont was at the crease in the reply.
Durham’s 188 is a good total. It just faced a better chase.
10. HAM Women – 181/8
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Opposition | Surrey Women |
| Venue | Kia Oval, London |
| Date | 5 June 2025 |
| Result | Lost by 32 runs |
| Run Rate | 9.05 |
Hampshire’s 181/8 was scored chasing 214. Of all the totals on this list, it is the hardest one to achieve and the easiest to overlook.
Ella McCaughan hit 81 off 50 balls and refused to let the chase die, with Georgia Adams offering 29 in support.
But Grace Harris ended McCaughan’s innings and then removed Adams in the same over, finishing with 3/18, and Hampshire’s momentum did not recover.
181 chasing 214 at The Oval is a creditable effort. It just was not enough against a Surrey side that had posted one of the two biggest totals in the competition’s history an hour earlier.
Hampshire’s four entries in the top 10 include the highest total ever posted and the fourth entry on this list of losses. That range captures them perfectly as a 2025 side.
